Dance Workshop

Community members near the Sunset Branch of the San Francisco Public Library enjoyed an introduction to Chinese Classical Dance last Monday June 13th, 2011. The workshop, presented by Fei Tian Academy of the Arts California in conjunction with the San Francisco Public Library, was free, and focused on introducing participants to some basic principals and techniques of the beautiful art form. In addition to increased mobility and flexibility, dancers have found that it can help reduce stress, an important factor to counter in today's busy society.
Fei Tian Dance Teachers, including the teacher who presented this workshop, all have years of experience and have performed for the world-class Shen Yun Performing Arts Dance Company. Based in New York, Shen Yun's three companies take different tour routes to cover the United States and the world every year. |
