Upon receiving your application, the school shall contact you to schedule an audition. Students are placed in classes based on a complete consideration of their skill level, age, and preferred schedule.

2 – Prepare for Audition
This is a crucial step for the school to determine students’ level and place them into the appropriate classes. When coming to the audition, the student must be fully prepared and well warmed-up. All students must wear tight-fitting clothing. In addition, girls must secure hair into a bun.

For Dance students, the following will be considered during the audition:

• Body shape
• Height and weight
• Body flexibility
• Ability to follow instructions
• Demonstration of individual dance skills
• Comprehension of musical rhythm
• Audition for Advanced Level and Intensive Training may require a 3-minute demo showcasing performance capability—may choose music (bring your own music), singing, drama, etc.

Music students should also be prepared for an audition showcasing a piece of music representative of their musical abilities, and be ready to demonstrate their sight-reading skills and music theory knowledge.

Fine arts students should be prepared to submit one or more representative samples of their work for review by the fine arts department, and to undergo a test of their fine arts abilities.
