Fastweb is an online scholarship database. It is mostly oriented towards college-bound students, though there are also some scholarships that are useful for students at the middle school or high school level. For those who are interested in college, it is never too soon to start looking.

Frame My Future Scholarship Contest
A good scholarship for seniors who like drawing, painting, or other visual arts. (Also available to current community college, 4-year college, and graduate school students.) Take a photo of a piece of artwork, writing, etc. that you have made representing what you wish to accomplish in the future and submit online to Diploma Frame.
Phoebe Ann Rose Scholarship Foundation
For music students ages 14 to 26 to pursue their music education. Applicants must demonstrate volunteer experience, write two short essays, and request three letters of recommendation.
East Village Service Scholar Contest
This scholarship is for students in grades kindergarten through grade 12 who have done at least 5 hours of community service. Students may enter in one of two categories by writing an essay on one of the sponsor's listed topics or by submitting a work of art and explanation that fits the categories listed on their website. Students are divided into three categories by grade - Kindergarten through 5th, middle school, and high school. |
