Music
Our Music department provides students opportunities to build professional level skills. The curriculum develops theoretical knowledge and technical skills, including music theory, ear training (or solfege), performance, and instrumental experience. Instrumental and performance experiences include development of solo abilities and the capacity to play as part of a group, and students learn to be independent while demonstrating teamwork and commitment to a group. The availability of traditional Chinese instruments in addition to instruction on Western instruments is of particular interest to many of the music students at Fei Tian. Several of our students are studying dizi (Chinese bamboo flute) or erhu. |
