Our mission is to provide young people with a curriculum that features training in traditional arts and that facilitates the understanding of different cultures, offering dance education to persons who are both accomplished and talented.

The word “fei tian,” literally translated as “flying apsaras,” is a Chinese term for a type of heavenly being celebrated for its beauty, poise, and grace. Fei tian are usually depicted as goddesses who spread goodness around the world. They can be seen in artwork from ancient India, China, Japan, Korea, and elsewhere.

Fei Tian Academy of the Arts California is part of the Fei Tian School System.

The Fei Tian School System is an association of independent schools with the same curricula in both academic and artistic programs. In particular, these schools share the common vision of reviving the five thousand year traditions of classical Chinese arts and culture.

New York-based Fei Tian Academy of the Arts - the first fully chartered school in the Fei Tian School System - is a premier art institution that trains first-class artists in dance, music, and fine arts. Located in upstate New York, Fei Tian Academy of the Arts, an officially registered and accredited arts institution of the highest caliber, aims to offer students unparalleled world-class education in dance, music, and fine arts beyond regular curricular requirements that prepare students for overall success in life. The arts institution was built upon the former Fei Tian Dance School, which was established in 2006 and officially became today's Fei Tian Academy of the Arts on March 19, 2007. Fei Tian Academy of the Arts at California also became a full member of the Fei Tian School System in April 2010.
