This program is for students looking to have a Mandarin immersion environment and to experience Chinese culture. By doing so, students will not only increase their language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, but also develop a strong cross-cultural understanding. Culture classes cover ancient Chinese traditions and the refined arts of a scholar. Students will take a placement exam on the first day of camp to determine their Chinese ability level. There will be a drama performance at the end of each camp conducted entirely in Chinese.

During each session, students will experience Chinese language and culture through activities such as singing, story telling, poem chanting, Chinese dance, arts and crafts. Language acquisition will come naturally to your child(ren) as a result of their participation in these fun and immersion-based, activities. Cultural enrichment classes, such as brush painting and calligraphy will be taught by a highly experienced Chinese art teacher. Ancient legends, myths and idioms' origin will help children to grasp deeper understandings of the traditional culture spirit, such as virtue and integrity.
